Long and Short Coat (l locus)
Short coat is dominant to long coat. This means that if you breed two long coats, you will always get a long coat.
This also means that you can breed short coat for generations and get long when both parents are carriers for it.
L - Turns off expression of l - gives a short coat with NO tuffs on the elbows or butt. Like a Boxer, American Pit Bull Terrier, etc.
l - recessive, gives the dog a long coat like an Australian Shepherd, Golden Retriever, etc.
Hairless Coat (hh locus)
Dominant. Dog has no hair at all.
